The ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) won Sunday's local elections in the Serbian towns of Zaječar and Kosjerić, the first in the country since student protests began, according to unofficial results. According to the Serbian NGO Crta, the election results do not reflect the will of the local voters due to numerous irregularities.
CRTA Program Director Raša Nedeljkov said that, based on the counted votes, the Serbian Progressive Party has 27 mandates, and the opposition has 23.
They state that they will have two or three more mandates than the list around the Serbian Progressive Party.
