Barnesville, Ohio (WTRF-TV) Captina Conservancy announced the death of the oldest hellbender, Marvin. Marvin was born sometime before 1980 and was collected by scientists Ralph and Joan Pfingsten in 1985. He was more than 45 years old Ralph and Joan cared for Marvin in their Cleveland home until 2021 under a special permit.
