First Look: The 2027 Chevy Silverado Doubles Down on V-8s
Every Silverado now gets a 12.2-inch gauge cluster and a 16.3-inch touchscreen, while new 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V-8s join the lineup.
On Tuesday, Chevrolet revealed the redesigned 2027 Silverado 1500, featuring new 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V-8 engines alongside a standard 16.3-inch center touchscreen.
An eight-year gap since the truck's last major update in 2018 prompted this redesign, positioning the Silverado to compete more effectively against Ford and Ram.
The lineup retains the familiar 2.7-liter turbo-four and 3.0-liter Duramax diesel, while new 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V-8s replace the older 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter engines.
Inside, every model now includes a 12.2-inch digital gauge cluster and 16.3-inch touchscreen, while top trims add an 11.5-inch passenger screen and Multi-Flex center console.
General Motors will build the trucks at North American assembly facilities, with deliveries expected by late 2026 as the automaker competes in the full-size truck market.
