The fugitive Ilyas Kherbouche, alias "Ganito", was arrested after 13 days of cavalry between Delft and the south of France. His companion and several accomplices are now being prosecuted.
At a press conference on Wednesday, 25 March, Paris Attorney Laure Beccuau announced that Ilyas Kherbouche and her partner were being charged and placed in pre-trial detention.
Ilyas Kherboub had been found in Canet-en-Roussillon (Pyrénées-Orientales) last Friday night, almost two weeks after his escape from Villepinte.
Suspected of having helped “Ganito” during his escape from the Villepinte prison (Seine-Saint-Denis), the former prison guard told investigators that she had been threatened by her lover.
