Vindicat will begin restoration work on the coach house behind the society building on the Grote Markt on Monday. The Municipality of Groningen addressed the association in August regarding the dilapidated state of the national monument.
The old coach house is the only part of the infamous W.A. Scholtenhuis that still stands. However, the national monument between the Nieuwe Markt and the Martinikerk in Groningen has fallen into serious disrepair. The municipality is urging owner Vindicat to take immediate action.
