The most powerful motors for electric bicycles are left out of the Mountain Bike competitions due to the approval, for the propulsion units of assisted electric bicycles (EPAC), of a regulation that does not support engines with peaks that go beyond 750 W. This regulation will enter into force at the Mountain Bike UCI World Championship of 2025, to be held in Valais, Switzerland, from 1 to 14 September.
