The Ministry of Justice has recognized Jan Racinski, a human rights activist and co-chair of the Memorial, as a "foreign agent".

On 23 May, the Russian Ministry of Justice updated the register of non-agents with seven persons, which is reported on the Ministry ' s website.

The Ministry of Justice of Russia has declared "foreign agent" Chairman of the Board of the International Society "Memorial" of Jan Racinski, besides which Andrei Korolev, Dmitry Nekrasov, former Director of the Institute of Scientific Information on Social Sciences, R.R.A. Yuri Pivovarov, lawyer Igor of the Weak, poet Alexander Smirnov and journalist Alexei Suhanov were added to the roster.
