The situation in the Middle East is escalating again. Israel has fired further missiles at Iran and Lebanon, and US forces have destroyed 16 Iranian mine-laying units in the Strait of Hormuz, US Central Command (Centcom) reported. At the same time, Iran has launched a new wave of missile and drone attacks against Israeli and US targets in the region – the "most intense and heavy shelling" since the conflict began.
