On the 19th, President Lee Jae-myung will present an Andong Hahoe mask to Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, who is visiting his hometown of Andong, North Gyeongsang Province, for a summit with Japan. Kang Yoo-jung, Senior Spokesperson for the Blue House, stated that the gift is a framed arrangement of nine wooden Andong Hahoe masks, "containing the wish for the development of friendly relations between Korea and Japan."
