The Coast Guard of Mauritania, on Saturday, rescued a boat carrying 193 irregular migrants off the coast of Nouakchott, including a woman who died and a man who was taken to hospital for treatment. In his statement on Saturday morning, the Coast Guard said that the rescue operation took place near the waters adjacent to the fish market establishment in Nouakchott, after a boat from the Gambian capital, Banjul, with 193 migrants on board.
