The Polish Armaments Agency and the defense company Mesko signed a framework agreement on Monday for the supply of several thousand Piorun portable air defense systems to Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Norway.
Three regional allies have joined Poland in placing an order for several thousand worst-case air defence systems manufactured in Poland – the largest such contract in history. The order is worth 1.9 billion euros for thousands of worst-case air defence systems, TVPWorld reports.
The framework agreement was signed during a ceremony at the MESKO plant in Skarżysko-Kamienna (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship), with the participation of, among others, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
