In Diyarbakır, 22-year-old İlayda Alkaş was killed by Cemal Alpaslan on July 15, and 19-year-old Helin Eren, who was three months pregnant, was killed by Siyabend Şeker on July 24. The two male close friends were found to be the killers. It was learned that Eren had been subjected to violence by Şeker, who was detained 10 days before the murder. Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
