The dispute in the Antwerp coalition over the Israeli flag raised to the city hall reached its peak on Monday evening at the communal council. Vooruit supported a motion by the Groen opposition party calling for the flag to be withdrawn. "Vooruit is influenced by the PTB," we hear in the ranks of the N-VA. The Vooruit group leader in Antwerp, Kathleen Van Brempt, denies this accusation. "For us, it is an ethical question."
