The Isère Department Punishes a Festival for Having Programmed Medina

The president LR of the Isère department had a €4,000 grant rejected at the Bien l ́bourgeon festival, still granted in previous years. The issue was the presence of rapper Medina. The decision received the support of the left opposition, with the exception of four elected ecologists.

The departmental council of l'Isère withdrew the 4,000 euros of grants it had previously given to the Bien l'Bourgeon festival, the 8th edition of which is scheduled to take place from 29 to 31 May in Gresse-en-Vercors. In question: the presence of the rapper Medina in the programming, accused of homophobia and anti-Semitism by a majority of elected officials.
