Today, the Hungarian authorities fined the MOL Petrohemija company for safety lapses related to an explosion in a chemical plant in May of this year, in which one worker was killed and several others were injured.
In the May accident, one worker died and eleven were injured. According to the occupational safety investigation, there were no adequate safety equipment in the affected parts of the plant.
Serious safety deficiencies were revealed and the authority imposed a fine of 38 million forints. The explosion in Tiszaújváros also claimed one life.
The occupational safety authority revealed serious safety deficiencies and ordered Molt to review the plant's technological and safety systems.
