Stone artist Peter Clay Hanson constructed a spiral Wall of Remembrance at Home of Peace Jewish cemetery on Meder Street in Santa Cruz. Hanson, who has been creating walls, gardens and sculptures since 1987, grew up on Meder Street and walked by the cemetery on his way to Westlake Elementary School as a kid.
