In France, the High Authority of Health (HAS) had been seized since 2022 to draw up the first official recommendations on the management of gender transitions in France, a subject that was particularly awaited. The body decided not to answer on the most sensitive aspect: what to do when a minor asks to change his gender?
However, the HAS regrets a "lack of consensus" regarding the care of minors and indicates that work on the development of recommendations will be implemented "in early 2026".
