The High Health Authority has unveiled a series of recommendations for adults, pending a consensus on gender transitions among minors.
In France, the High Authority of Health (HAS) had been seized since 2022 to draw up the first official recommendations on the management of gender transitions in France, a subject that was particularly awaited. The body decided not to answer on the most sensitive aspect: what to do when a minor asks to change his gender?
However, the HAS regrets a "lack of consensus" regarding the care of minors and indicates that work on the development of recommendations will be implemented "in early 2026".
The High Health Authority (HAS) announced this Friday that it would not decide on the gender transition of minors until 2026.
