The premiere of the uncompromisingly shaped supersport from Sant'Agata Bolognese was seen by the Hotel Paris in Monte Carlo on 20 January 1990. The successor to the legendary Countach model was named after a fierce bull, which in 1869 became famous in an impressive duel with a toreador, called El Chicorro. Even so, the automaker showed tremendous self-confidence, after all, the devil himself (Spanish “diablo”) is the embodiment of evil.
