The Federation of Municipal Associations of Bolivia (FAM-Bolivia) asked the Government to repeal Supreme Decree 5676, which sets the reference price of diesel at Bs 18 per litre for large consumers, and the Minister of the Presidency, Fernando Aramayo, stated that the rule is one of the conditions of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The minister of the Presidency said that the decree that establishes a new cost of diesel for three sectors is part of the demands of the agency. A month ago, José Gabriel Espinoza had assured that Bolivia had not given up the conduct of its economic policy.
