Today, fuel prices in Slovenia will rise slightly, driven by the increase in global oil prices. However, the increase will be minimal due to the reduction in excise duties decided by the Government of Ljubljana. (ANSA)
Prices in Slovenia will continue to be lower than in surrounding countries as of Tuesday.
Fuel prices will increase at midnight, but the government has mitigated the price increase somewhat with today's excise tax cut. A liter of 95-octane gasoline will increase by three cents to 1.466 euros, a liter of diesel fuel by 6.3 cents to 1.528 euros, and a liter of heating oil by 8.8 cents to 1.159 euros.
The price of a liter of gasoline will increase by three cents, diesel by six cents and heating oil by almost nine cents. "By reducing excise duties, the government has mitigated the transfer of international price increases into domestic retail prices," the ministry announced at the price increase.
After midnight, the prices of 95 kerosene, diesel, heating oil and LPG increase significantly.
But that only applies to the quantities from the released strategic stock. The excise tax reduction will cause a loss of 10-12 billion forints per month.
