Minister of Economic Affairs Erkki Keldo announced on Thursday that Estonia will not yet implement the European directive on wage transparency. According to the minister, no one can be made equal by force, and moreover, the requirements of the European directive would entail quite a lot of bureaucracy.

The Estonian Employers' Confederation, which represents larger employers, supports taking time off when transposing the Pay Transparency Directive.
