French Football Federation pulls support from FIFA head Infantino's re-election bid, French media reports
The French Football Federation on Thursday pulled its support for Gianni Infantino's bid for re-election as the head of international football body FIFA, French media reported.
After the meeting of its executive committee, the French Football Federation withdrew its support to Gianni Infantino this Thursday, in search of a new mandate at the head of the Fifa in March 2027 in Rabat, Morocco.
At the meeting of its executive committee on Thursday, the FFF broke up with the boss of the International Football Federation, criticized on all sides after his abortive project as a commercial company and candidate for his own re-election in March 2027.
According to a source, the French newspaper Le Monde reported that the French Football Union had decided to withdraw its support for Gianni Invantino's candidacy for a new state as president of FIFA.
