A Mother From a Forest Village Contributes to Her Family Budget with a Tractor Funded by ORKÖY Loan.
Sibel Karaca, a mother of two living in Muğla, earns a living for her family by participating in forestry production with a tractor she bought with an ORKÖY loan. Karaca, who purchased the tractor with 20% grant funding and the remainder through an interest-free loan, transports wood obtained from trees cut down in the Gökova region. The aim is to increase production in rural areas with the support of the General Directorate of Forestry.
The Narmadachal forests are facing a major threat due to the Sal borer pest infestation in Anuppur and Dindori districts.
