Lighting a cigarette on Zarautz beach could be expensive. And it’s not for less. Smokers could pay 500 euros for smoking. Thus a new ordinance establishes it, which has been approved unanimously in the consistory and is in a period of allegations until August 5th. The emblematic Guipuzcoan sandal will be the first of Euskadi to sanction the consumption of tobacco on its coast. However, this will not be the only prohibited behavior in Zarautz.

Kaunas district authorities have additionally identified more than 100 places where people are prohibited from smoking. These are castle mounds, educational trails and other areas visited by many people. Kaunas city has only a few spaces, but promises to review the list.
