The far right is gaining footholds across Europe

The political wind in Europe has been blowing strongly to the right, with declining support for old left-wing and liberal centre parties.

Almost everywhere in Europe, parties from the extreme right are on the rise. However, while the AfD in Germany is avoided by other parties, in many other countries there is little fear of contact.

If they persist in their freedom policies, the far right will continue to grow.
