The Chamber of Deputies voted, as a decision-making body, to extend the VAT by 9% for the purchase of dwellings until 1 October. The law goes to President Nicușor Dan for promulgation.

The Chamber of Deputies adopted Wednesday, 29 July, the extension until 30 September 2026 of the deadline to complete the purchase of houses with 9% VAT, so that transactions are not affected by the cyber attack on ANCPI.
A decision was also taken on the draft law extending until the end of September the application of the reduced rate of VAT of 9% for the purchase of housing.
