The Pardubice Regional Court on Friday dropped the prosecution of a 35-year-old man who stabbed his girlfriend to death last June. Expert reports show that the man did not know what he was doing at the time of the crime. The man has now been sent to a secure detention center.

The man who stabbed his partner in June 2024 in Jevíček, Svitavy, is not criminally liable due to mental illness. He caused it by using drugs. The Regional Court in Pardubice acquitted him of insanity and sent him to a security detention center.
