The twelve-month Euribor, the most used indicator for calculating variable mortgages in Spain, will close September on the rise, for the third consecutive month, reaching an average rate of around 3.2%, a fact that represents its highest level in two years, since July 2024.
The mortgage index chains three months of increases, more than one point exceeds the level of September 2025 and returns to peaks of more than two years after the ECB’s second rate rise.
