The extension of Barcelona-El Prat airport will have to be approved by the European Commission. Brussels, 11 Jun (EFE).- The European Commission reminds Spain that it must take measures to ensure adequate protection of the Llobregat Delta before embarking on an expansion of Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport as announced yesterday. This was one of the messages sent by the Community Executive to representatives of AENA and the Generalitat of Catalonia at a meeting that took place on April 2, according to EFE community sources.
