The PSC continues to fall in the polls, to the point that if elections were held in Catalonia today, the rise of Aliança Catalana could put it in a position to win them. A survey by La Vanguardia places the two parties tied at 30 seats, with the PSC ahead in vote estimates.
Catalonia is heading towards a political scenario of high fragmentation, marked by the strong growth of the extreme right, the retreat of the main traditional forces and the difficulty to build majorities capable of guaranteeing governance. The Ipsos survey for La Vanguardia, conducted between September 23 and October 1st from 2,000 interviews, reflects a deeply divided Catalan Parliament with increasingly complicated alliances.
