Buggyra ZM Racing joins the new Dakar history. Since the Dakar Rally 2027, this will be the start of the Mercedes-Benz car category, and a new project will be launched in the future, with global support.
The Buggyra ZM Racing car team will now compete with Mercedes-Benz in the truck category in endurance competitions. The new special will be presented at the Dakar Rally in January, where it should be driven by Martin Šoltys. Buggyra presented the multi-year project today in Le Mans together with the French representative of the car manufacturer.
No longer Tatra, but Mercedes-Benz! The Buggyra racing team is changing its truck for Dakar 2027, thus launching a new multi-year project in long-distance competitions with the support of a global brand and entering a new chapter in its Dakar history. It will use a Mercedes Zetros.
The Buggyra team will replace its Tatra trucks with Mercedes-Benz trucks starting next year at the Dakar Rally. The Kopřivnice-based automaker will lose the only team that used a modern version of its trucks.
