The demand for drone defence systems from Russian private companies increased by 6.6 times in the first half of 2026 over the same period of the previous year, on the basis of the campaign supported by Ukrainian drone attacks, writes on Wednesday the Russian press, taken over by the EFE agency.

Demand among Russian commercial companies for drone defense equipment jumped 6.6-fold in the first half of 2026 compared with the same period last year, reaching 441.3 million rubles, the Russian business daily Vedomosti reported, citing analysts from Tenderplan, a tender-tracking platform.
