The Democratic Party of Kosovo (DPK) announced that it won the largest number of votes in the local elections when it comes to the election race for municipal assemblies. As the party announced, it won more than 175,000 votes, followed by DSK with more than 168,000 votes and the Self-Determination movement with more than 156,000 votes.
In Kosovo, local elections appoint the mayor and members of the municipal assembly in each of the 38 municipalities, 27 of which are predominantly Albanian-speaking, 10 are Serb-speaking and one (Mamusha) with a Turkish majority.
