The Bank Board of the Czech National Bank (CNB) was unanimous in its decision today to leave interest rates unchanged. It agreed that the risks to the Czech economy now outweigh those of higher inflation. A relatively tight monetary policy remains necessary to keep inflation close to the central bank's two percent target in the long term, CNB Governor Aleš Michl told reporters after the Bank Board meeting.
