As early as 2013, inspections showed damage to the parts of the Dalbo Bridge that have led to the current closure. Repairs only began twelve years later, in 2025 – after the damage was noted during three main inspections. “There have been other renovation needs that have been more prioritized,” says Daniel Jerling, Head of Community Planning for the Municipality of Vänersborg.
