Gatineau braces for possible flooding as rainfall warnings issued across western Quebec
The City of Gatineau is getting ready to deal with its fourth major flood in less than a decade, warning that water levels are continuing to rise and could reach 2023 flood levels by Sunday.
The City considers that approximately 119 residences and 33 streets are at risk of being "affected by water," while the water levels of rivers are rising rapidly.
If there are more areas under surveillance in Gatineau, the Mayor would like to reassure the City that the sandbags are being taken out in a preventive manner.
