ITV Shares 5 Images of New Crime Series with Line of Duty and Corrie Stars
The six-part series follows detectives as a murder inquiry exposes lies, cover-ups and systemic corruption in a quiet town.
- ITV has shared a first look at The Blame, a new six-part crime drama starring Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth. Based on Charlotte Langley's debut novel, the series filmed in London this summer.
- The series begins when the body of teenage figure skater Sophie Madsen is discovered in the town of Wakestead. DI Emma Crane and DI Tom Radley investigate as the case spirals into institutional cover-ups and moral compromise.
- Executive produced by Emmy Award nominee Megan Gallagher, the thriller features a wide ensemble cast including Ian Hart, Nigel Boyle, and Matilda Freeman. Each of the six episodes will feature a 60-minute runtime.
- ITV's Director of Drama, Polly Hill, described the project as a "brilliant new crime thriller" tackling police corruption and misogyny. The broadcaster confirmed the series is "coming soon" to the network and ITVX.
- This production follows a string of book adaptations for the broadcaster, including The Dark earlier this month. Viewers can expect "complex characters, unexpected twists and a riveting mystery" as the investigation unfolds.
