Following an appeal by the far-right Vox party, the Basque Country High Court annulled the decree regulating the use of Basque in the public sector on September 16. The Basque Government will file an appeal in cassation with the Spanish Supreme Court.
The judicial dispute takes place in parallel with the discussion of Budget 2027.
Pradales made the announcement during the control session of the Basque Parliament; during the meeting, he said that they have always acted "strictly and respectfully" in the steps towards the normalization of the Basque language and that they want to continue on the path "without complexes".
