France has come a step closer to a ban on social media services for children and young people under the age of 15.
Children and adolescents under the age of 15 are soon to be allowed to use only limited social media in France, thus protecting their mental health.

Emmanuel Macron wants to enforce the measure as early as September, but the government fears that the version adopted by senators will be rejected because of non-compliance with European law.
