‘The Bad Guys 2’ Cast on Revisiting Their Characters and Director Talks Possible Third Movie
LOS ANGELES, AUG 3 – The sequel introduces The Bad Girls, a female-led gang, forcing the reformed Bad Guys into an eight-member heist against a tech magnate, with $38.5 million opening weekend reported.
- Reuniting the original cast, The Bad Guys 2 features Danielle Brooks as Kitty Kat and Natasha Lyonne as Doom, with all main voices returning at TCL Chinese Theater, Los Angeles.
- Five years after the first film, the reformed Bad Guys are framed for a crime and coerced by the Bad Girls into one last heist.
- The Bad Guys 2 pulled in $22.2 million domestically, $16.3 million internationally, for a $38.5 million opening total, and has an 86% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
- The Bad Guys 2 finished second behind Fantastic Four: First Steps with $40 million, and most critical reviews praised its snappy humor and animation upgrade.
