All districts in Andhra Pradesh report deficient rainfall
As July draws to an end, Andhra Pradesh's rainfall deficit stands at 52.4%, with not even one district reporting normal rainfall. Prakasam, East Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Annamayya and Chittoor recorded a large deficit, while the IMD has not forecast much rain until August 3.
Raisen: The district recorded an average rainfall of 436.26 mm from June 1 to July 30, while during the same period last year, it had received 1018.9 mm of rain. An average rainfall of 21.58 mm was recorded in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall of 41 mm was recorded in Bari, while 35 mm was recorded in Begamganj, 33.3 mm in Sultanpur, 29.1 mm in Deori and 28 mm in Udaypura.
