The average pension of over 23 thousand crowns last year was received by seniors – men only in Prague and the Moravian-Silesian Region. Women, except for women from Prague and residents of the Central Bohemian Region, had an average pension of less than 20 thousand crowns. The total amount paid out in pensions last year exceeded 700 billion crowns, the Czech Social Security Administration stated in the pension statistical yearbook.
