The Slovak Antimonopoly Office has imposed a record fine of 97.4 million euros (2.4 billion crowns) on ten Czech and Slovak cable manufacturers and suppliers and their association for a cartel agreement in setting product prices. The decision in the case is not yet final. The Czech Antimonopoly Office is also handling a similar case.
According to the Slovak Antimonopoly Office, Czech and Slovak cable manufacturers had a cartel agreement between them regarding the final prices of goods. The office fined ten companies a total of 2.4 billion crowns.
