The American Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan released its "Taiwan White Paper 2026" on the 16th, reiterating the importance of the Taiwan-US economic and trade partnership and offering recommendations to Washington, D.C. Regarding whether the US Section 301 investigation will affect tariff fluctuations, the Chamber stated, "It is not targeted at Taiwan, so there is no need to worry too much."
The U.S. recently proposed a 10% tariff on Taiwan under Section 301 of the Trade Act.
