CQC welcomes improvements at South East Coast Ambulance Service
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has upgraded South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust’s emergency and urgent care service, and its emergency operations centre (EOC), from requires improvement to good, following an inspection in September.
The ambulance service that covers Surrey has had its rating upgraded following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission.
South East Coast Ambulance Service is now rated ‘Good’ for both emergency 999 calls and call handling. In their report, inspectors say services are now safer and staff are better trained and learning from mistakes. SECAmb, which also covers Sussex, Kent and part of Hampshire, says it will keep working to improve patient care.
