Subaru's New Electric 3-Row Getaway Is a Family SUV for the Brand Faithful

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, Subaru unveiled the 2027 Subaru Getaway, its largest three-row electric SUV featuring a dual-motor powertrain that delivers 420 horsepower and accelerates from zero to 60 mph in less than five seconds.
Developed through a collaboration with Toyota, the Getaway marks a manufacturing shift for Subaru; the vehicle will be built in Kentucky rather than Japan and shares underpinnings with the Toyota Highlander EV.
