In June 325, the first Ecumenical Council, that of Nicaea, convened by Emperor Constantine, took place. Among the many topics discussed, which we will try to address briefly, two in particular have passed into history: the Creed which, with several modifications, became the profession of official faith of all Christendom, and the decision to unify the date of the celebration of Easter.
