2025 - Celebrating Hans Rosenthal: A Journey Through His Dual Life on His 100th Birthday

Berlin's Governing Mayor Wegner has honoured the TV presenter Hans Rosenthal, who died in 1987, who would have become 100 years old today.

Hans Rosenthal was the inventor of the game show "Dalli Dalli". His Jewish past shaped him and made him a model for many. Today the entertainer would have become 100.

With a television film and a documentary, ZDF honors the "Dalli Dalli" presenter who died in 1987. In his youth, the Jewish entertainer had to hide from the Nazis. The film works on the controversial broadcast date of a show in 1978 on Rosenthal's internal conflicts.

Hans Rosenthal survived the Holocaust in a hiding place in Berlin. Later he was one of the most important entertainers in West Germany. For the 100th birthday, a ZDF feature film shows his two lives.
