Texans beware: Identity thieves are targeting the Lone Star State

DALLAS (KDAF) — Identity theft is on the rise, and Texas is near the top of the list. A new study by personal injury law firm GBG analyzed FBI crime data and revealed that Texas ranks #6 in the U.S. for identity theft, with 372.26 reports per 100,000 residents in 2024.
