Tesla taps Forum Mobility for California electric-truck charging stations

- New depots feature pull-through lanes allowing drivers to keep chassis attached while charging, with the Megawatt Charging System delivering up to 60% range in about 30 minutes.
- With reservations for more than 330 Tesla Semis across the network, the project reflects strong demand; Tesla sells each Megacharger for $188,000 and collects $0.08 per kilowatt-hour.
- Forum Mobility CEO and co-founder Matt LeDucq said the facilities allow customers to operate at a "lower cost per mile than diesel," while Port of Oakland executive director Kristi McKenney welcomed the partnership.
- As the company prepares for a European launch next year, Tesla continues to scale its infrastructure; the company has 66 planned Megacharger locations targeted for this year across the United States.
